-Speed/consumption at sea
The vessel is capable of maintaining an average speed of about 14 Knots in
ballast and 13,5 Knots in laden condition on average daily consumption of
about
35 metric tons of IFO (including D/Gs) plus 0,1 mt MDO, speed and consumption
claims are based on good weather days conditions, smooth seas, up to and
including Beaufort scale 4, up to 1,25 metres significant sea height (combined
wave and swell), no adverse currents, no swell, appropriate trim by stern. A
good weather day is defined noon to noon<x-apple-data-detectors://4>, 24 consecutive hours. In the
evaluation of vessel’s performance no extrapolation is allowed for bad weather
days. Above figures do not include quantity of IFO to be consumed during
ballasting / deballasting / manoeuvring exchange of ballast operations, cargo
holds cleaning and bilge pumping. The speed so described is on an average
basis taken over the entire charter period, including ballast voyages and
provided no under water parts /flat bottom fouling due to immobilisation
and/or
drifting for 20, or more, days in port(s), anchorage(s). For reasons of
assessing vessel’s performance, no warranty applies on voyages less than 48
hours, 24 hours after COSP / prior EOSP, when vessel navigating in canals,
shallow / restricted / tidal affected waters, due to reasons of safety, or
poor
visibility, or navigating through piracy infested areas, or periods where
vessel’s speed is reduced as per Charterers’ instructions and that all such
days / periods are expressly excluded from any kind of calculation /
evaluation of said vessel’s performance. No current factor to be applied for
favourable currents. Time lost to be offset against bunkers saved. Owners to
have the benefit of any savings generated over and above the stated figures.
The vessel has the liberty of steaming at slow speed or stop / remain idle for
the purposes of ballast exchange, if required. Cost of chemicals for ballast
treatment, if required, and any loss in speed / time to be for Charterers’
account.
About is understood to mean 5% downwards in speed and 5% upwards in
consumption.
Consumption in Port
-About 5,5 metric tons IFO plus 0,1 metric tons MDO whilst working -About 3,5
metric tons IFO plus 0,1 metric tons MDO whilst idle Where regulatory
requirements prevent the consumption of high sulfur IFO, the Vessel will burn
low sulphur gas oil, in which case above port consumption figures will
increase
by 1metric ton per day. In colder climates, up to an additional 1,5 mt IFO per
day to be allowed for Boiler consumption.
Eco speed / consumption
Given without guarantee and with main engine plant safe parameters permitting
About 12,5 Knots in ballast condition on about 26,5 metric tons consumption of
IFO (including D/Gs) and about 11,75 Knots in laden condition on about 26,5
metric tons consumption of IFO (including D/Gs). Always plus 0.1 metric tons
MDO. In accordance with engine maker’s guidelines, the M/E may be operated at
full RPM for about 1hour per day.
Bunker clause
The fuels shall be of a stable and homogeneous nature, suitable for
burning in the Vessel’s engines and auxiliaries and, unless
otherwise
agreed in writing, shall comply with ISO standard 8210 : 2017 in
conjunction with PAS 23263 or any subsequent amendment thereof. Bunkers
to be supplied must not contain waste lubrication oil, chemical waste,
or any other substances not inherent to bunkers and must be free
of any material that renders the fuels unacceptable for use in marine
applications. Fuels to comply with MARPOL Annex VI Regulation
14/18 including ECAS, E.U. 2016/802, Carb Requirements ( or any
subsequent modification or replacement thereof) and are in compliance
with all national and International regulations in respective trading
areas. Following grades/specs are acceptable : (a) Very Low Sulphur Fuel oil —
Residual Marine (VLSFO-RM), with max Sulphur content 0.50% m/m, ISO 8217:2017
RMG 380, but with a min viscosity of 10 cSt @ 50C. (b) Very Low Sulphur Fuel
oil — Distilate Marine (VLSFO-DM), with max Sulphur content 0.50% m/m, ISO
8217:2017 DMZ, or if not available DMA, or if not available MDO DMB. (c)
Ultra
Low Sulphur Fuel Oil — Distilate Marine (ULSFO-DM), ), with max Sulphur
content
0.10% m/m, ISO 8217:2017 DMZ, or if not available DMA. Bunkers
purchaces/supplied in different lots must be segregated Sludge removal to be
effected during loading or discharging operations, by Charterers Agents for
Charterers account.
